Meet Shireen
Shireen first learned to weave with seed beads in 2023 during a solo trip to Costa Rica, and has since continued to expand her skill set with new techniques, patterns, and much dedicated practice. She admires the multicultural landscape that this art form holds while also honours the borders and boundaries of specific cultural heritage. She beads to contribute beauty into the world, to work with art as meditation, to practice resiliency against a fast paced culture, and to continue the memory of ancestral skills for herself, and through her love of teaching.
