  • DO NOT steam if you have an active infection, fever, sunburn, or heat stroke

  • DO NOT steam for longer than 10mins if you are sensitive to bleeding (have 2 periods a month, or have had a history of this within the past 3 years)

Somatic Experiencing is a body-based approach to trauma resolution that works with the nervous system rather than the story alone. Trauma is understood not as what happened, but as what the body was unable to process at the time. In this work, we track sensations, impulses, emotions, supporting the body in completing stress responses that were once interrupted.
