From Urgency to Agency

The concept of agency v.s. urgency came up in a session with a client the other day. In this work, we draw out your witness consciousness.

I like to describe “witness consciousness” as the ability to be withwhat you’re feeling instead of completely lost in it. When our Witness Self is present, this create creates a choice point. And choice points create the changes we most desire, as well as restore a sense of clarity and agency.

To do this, we work with the dissociation → identification →
dis-identification model. This model describes how we move from avoidance, to full contact, to freedom.

What does this even mean?

It’s a model that states that we start in dissociation around something un-processed with our nervous systems… whether it be an emotion that’s stuck, or a habitual relating behaviour that’s been present.

We work on bringing that forth in the system, then allowing you to fully feel it. To feel what’s been unconsciously suppressed, or something you’ve been unable to meet before, allowing you to embody it and even identify with it.

And finally, we shift into dis-identification… which is honestly just embodied sovereignty and discernment. Where you can feel something fully, without being fused with it. Where after allowing yourself to feel “the thing” (the anger, the grief etc.) it becomes something you experience, not something you are.

When this clarity arrives within you, urgency falls away and agnecy takes its place.

Are you ready to liberate?
