The joy of micro moments ⟢
A common narrative I hear from clients and students is that they don’t have enough time for nervous system work or regulation practices in their life. They’re holding too much, juggling all the things, and there’s no space to tend to themselves. I hear that. I get it. AND, what if I told you that micro practices are the key 🔑
Your NO births your YES ❀
When you know what you don’t want, what you’re no longer willing to invite in, what feels like a hard stop for you, it carves a path forward for your joyful, pleasure-filled YES! This is especially important to explore if you are the woman who always says yes to everything (even when your cup is empty)
The trauma vortex ୭
The problem is, in a fast-paced, technology-driven world, we are so addicted to FAST pleasure, that our brains and bodies aren’t used to the SLOW pleasure model. We take for granted the simple pleasures that are so readily available to us throughout the day, or find it hard to deeply connect to those simple, non-addictive pleasures
Your WILD is divine 𓃬
Primal remembrance asks us to honour the animal, the raw, the instinctual. Once we’re deeply connected to this inherent nature, it can then lead us inward and upward to divine energy. Everyone wants to connect with spacious, light-filled divine realms, the universe… but without first rooting into our raw, primal nature, there’s no tether.
All about activation ⚡︎
For me personally, this used to show up even around the “good” feelings associated with activation. Too much excitement, joy, or motivation, and my body would tip into overwhelm. I had never learned how to reliably hold and channel that kind of energy, so even “good” activation landed as a threat in my nervous system.
How to steam your womb ༄
Did you know that the egg that created you was first formed inside your maternal grandmother? When your grandmother was pregnant with your mother, the egg that (later) created you was already there, inside your mother’s womb. The genesis of your physical story began two generations back. How mind-blowing is that!?!
The desire beneath jealousy ࿈
Beneath jealousy there can be longing, unspoken needs, forgotten parts of ourselves that ache to be remembered. If we meet jealousy with curiosity instead of shame, it can guide us toward what we actually want. Our deepest desires. And even inner child parts that are longing to be tended to.
The maiden’s longing 𖧷
The Maiden is an archetype alive in our very own nervous systems. She holds innocence, playfulness, naivety, desire, curiosity, vulnerability, and potential. But when the thresholds of her journey aren’t witnessed and honoured with care, she can feel incomplete, suspended, or even stolen within us.
Ancestral rhythm moving 𖤓
Trance-like states are now something I love weaving into my facilitation with women. In my containers, I bring women together to dance, move, growl sound, connect, and find rhythm in their bones. We are not meant to go through this life alone, and when we deeply connect in community, we (re)awaken a visceral power within.
Feel your boundaries ݁⟡ ݁
This simple practice can be radical, especially if you have a history of fawning, melting into relationships, or losing yourself in the process of tending to others. It’s a way to take up space without apology. To claim who you are, your centre, your identity, your voice. Take up space my love. Your unique light is needed in this world ❤️
The relational space ꨄ︎
Teaching your nervous system that in fact, relationships can feel wonderful. Getting close to people is actually vital to our survival. Belonging is a basic nervous system need. Our nervous system starts to learn that it’s ok to be close to another, you don’t have to disappear. You belong.
Desire, direction, and the body ➷
Orientation is one of the most foundational skills in somatic work. It's not just about knowing where you are on a map. It's about sensing where you are in your body, in the space around you, and in your life.
Nervous system first aid⚕️
NS first aid is something that I think should be part of our basic human toolkit, so we’re able to help a dear loved one or even ourselves in an acute time of need. Here are a few simple yet powerful nervous system first aid tools. They might serve you or someone you love during a time of overwhelm, panic, crisis, or deep emotional activation.
Soul conversations in the dance ♫⋆。
Getting to know your embodied YES and embodied NO, because that really is the ground work. The foundation that a lot of us skip over. So I’ve been dancing alone in a sensual way, just for me. And if you feel the pull, I’d love to invite you to do the same. 2 Spotify playlists for reclaiming HER.
Your inner teen chaos queen ♛
We often only have other people touch our breasts: lovers, medical examiners, our sweet babies. And while those things may be beautiful (lovers or babies) or very necessary (medical exams), when we don’t touch our own breasts they can feel neglected!
