How to steam your womb ༄

FREE video tutorial at the end ↓

Today I’d like to share a beautiful practice with you called vaginal steaming or yoni steaming 🌿
This potent practice holds so many physical, emotional, energetic, AND ancestral benefits.

Ok, so if I’ve lost you already and you’re hovering over that little “close” button, I encourage you to lean into this edge, open your mind, and keep reading. I promise it’s worth it.

If this practice immediately sounds off-putting, I hear you. I’ve been there and I totally get it. Cooking your vagina with steam?? How could that possibly do anything good for your life? 😅

Well, for starters, steaming has a TON of physical health benefits.

✨ Steaming can support with...

  • Irregular menstruation

  • Vaginismus (pelvic pain/spasm during intercourse)

  • Menstrual cramps

  • Heavy flow & clots

  • Fertility + conception

  • Postpartum healing + recovery

  • Clearing stagnant blood from the uterus

  • Healing after miscarriage or abortion

  • BV & yeast infections

  • Vaginal dryness

  • Fibroids & cysts

  • Endometriosis symptoms

  • Hormone balance

  • Supporting increased sensation & pleasure

  • Emotional release + trauma healing

  • Uterine detox + vitality

How amazing is that?!

If you know me, you know I love ritualized practice. And yoni steaming is one of the most powerful rituals I know. 🌸

Did you know that the egg that created you was first formed inside your maternal grandmother? 🌀 When your grandmother was pregnant with your mother, the egg that (later) created you was already there, inside your mother’s womb. The genesis of your physical story began two generations back. How mind-blowing is that!?!

For me, steaming is ceremony 🌹 It’s a dedicated time to honour my womb space, nurture my soul, and tend to my softness and femininity. I love setting up sacred space with candles 🕯️, flowers 🌸, tea 🍵, organic herbs 🌿, and a little altar.

If you’re a menstruator, one of my favourite health-related ways to steam is steaming for 3 days consecutively before menstruating, and 3 days after. This simple protocol can regulate your cycle, reduce cramping, and flush out anything stagnant to prepare you for your next bleed. You can also steam once a week as a regular practice.

Even if you’ve crossed the threshold into your menopausal years, or you’ve had a hysterectomy, this practice can still be deeply beneficial. Yoni steaming can support pelvic health, energetic clearing, and feminine embodiment at every life stage.

🍂 Especially as the weather cools, this is SUCH a cozy and nourishing ritual to weave into your self-care. And I hope you do!

Curious about diving deeper into the how-to?

I have a gift for you: A free 11-minute video where I guide you step-by-step on how to set up your own steam session at home, using materials you (probably) already have in your own kitchen!

Enjoy xx

With love,
Ayesha
